System Logs

Note: Sometimes, navigating to System --> System Logs can take a long time for the page to come up. The system may look like it's unresponsive but please be patient and it will eventually come up. This happens when there are millions of log entries. 

Note: For security reasons. there are keywords that are not allowed in any search field. They are:

• Select
• Update
• join
• delete
• insert
• all
• drop

Hermes SEG stores email specific logs into a database. This method allows for faster more granular searching. The System Logs section is separated into 5 distinct sections:

• System Log Retention
• Clear All Searches
• Simple Search
• Advanced Search
• Search Results

System Log Retention

By default Hermes SEG stores logs up to 30 days before automatically purging older entries. This setting can be adjusted by selecting 30 Days, 60 Days, 90 Days, 120 Days or 180 Days intervals and clicking the the Set button (Figure 1)
